The most amazing thing!!

I'll have some knitty news for you before too long (made huge progress with Ariann, over the weekend, so there'll be some blogging to do), but for now you just GOT TO go watch this video.

It's from an Italian newspaper, but you don't need to know the language to follow it (incidentally, there is no sound!), just go and watch. I promise, it'll make you weep (well, it did me).

The headline reads: Christian, the affectionate lion - a year after his release, he recognises and "hugs" his former owners. Seriously, people, this is the kind of stuff good dreams are made of! I don't know the background - haven't had a chance to look this story up (the paper doesn't seem to have any details), so if you know anything, send it in, I'd love to read more on him :)

Edited to add: Apparently as usual I'm the last to know anything... This video, it turns out, has done the rounds all over the Net, and there's even a book or you can read a little bit about him. Here's a slightly longer version of the video I've found on YouTube with sub-titles (not that you would need any explaining!). Enjoy! xx

Comments
I've had to disable the comments yet again, due to the huge amount of spam I've received in the last few days, so if you want to shout, do so on Flickr, Ravelry or via email for the time being, till a more long term solutions is devised. Thanks for your patience :)
