eBay will be the death of me

Hello, my name is Anna and I'm an eBayer...

Yes, well, I went a little crazy on eBay and ended up buying more footwear than I've ever owned in my entire life (and I don't even enjoy shopping for shoes! Take me into an optician’s, possibly when the sale’s on, and I’ll show you how to shop)... as I type this I'm waiting for these beauties to be delivered to me (god only knows how I'll manage to walk in them, but I couldn't care less, I just want them. NOW.)

Anyway, as my flat hasn't got any bigger, but my shoe collection has, I've decided to put some sandals back on eBay, cos I've never worn them, and I'm very unlikely to do so (they're oh so pretty, but sooo not my style). On the off chance any of you may be interested in helping me de-clutter (and at the same time release much needed funds for some specs I’ve set my heart on), go take a look, they're all size 2 though, coz me has teeny weeny feet.

In knitting news... YES, I have knitting news! There's been some yarny activity, albeit sporadic, but it's a start. After a couple of months of nothingness, I'm still working on these socks, and already I'm on number two (thank goodness I've only got two feet). I got as far as the heel last night, then I put it down as I couldn't be arsed to get my backside off the sofa and go look for the short row instructions. It'll still be there tomorrow, won’t it? And it's not like I'm in any hurry to wear woolly socks, am I?

Also, I've been catching the h.7.01 train to work (don't ask...long story, suffice to say that I'm getting out of the office at 4pm these days - yeyyy! - and that's enough motivation to drag me out of bed at 6am!!), and it’s been an entirely new experience, that of finding a seat on the train. So this morning whilst waiting at the station, I started a mindless little hat in some HandPaintedYarn merino just because I couldn't think of what else to knit with 40cm circulars and no pattern. Wow, I love knitting stocking stitch hats, they practically knit themselves!

Ah, and of course I’ll be AngelKnit-ing tonight. I haven’t been in months, so I hope there'll be a nice crowd. If any of the old faces happen to read this, and want to catch up, do come along. I'll be the one stuffing her face in yummy pizza! See you then xx

Long time...and all that...

Hey Peeps,

How have you all been?

Quick question to all of you who manage to hold down a full-time job and still post on your blogs on a weekly basis, if not more often: how the hell do you do it? Please, please, do tell! I shall be waiting with bathed breath...

So, a few people have been pestering me asking whether I've totally given up on this blog, or if, in the not too distant future, I intend to bring it up to date. The truth is that, although I have been soooo frightfully busy lately (fear not, I've not suddenly become Ms Socialite of the Year, on the contrary, I've kept busy with rather meaningless tasks, such as commuting, not to mention WORK, which coupled with my unexplicable need to constantly sleep, are officially killing me slowly), more often than not I've been wanting to jot down the occasional random drivel on here... then I look at just how old and uninteresting my last post is and feel that I MUST write something so earth-shatteringly exciting to make up for this absimal silence somehow...and I can't! Nothing so terribly life changing has happened in the last few months, in fact things have been pretty much "same old, same old..." around here, although this year has really passed in a blur, I can't quite believe we're in the second half of 2007 already...somewhere in my mind we're still only coming up to March-April.

Anyhow, instead of trying to recap the last few months of untold adventures, which, trust me, aren't all that enthralling, let's start with more recent things... I've just recently come back from a few days on the southern cost of Italy where I've spent a long weekend with my mum, lil sis and her flatmate, during which I occupied my days sleeping, reading, doing crosswords and even managed to acquire a discreet tan, and I've got photos to prove it! Look:

(Note to mum: when reviewing the holiday snaps you so kindly emailed me, I couldn't help but notice that you took something like 24,609 pictures of me in exactly the same position... the logical conclusion being that you must think my best angle is that of me lying down with my face completely covered... uhm... right... a hypothesis confirmed by the fact that back in June - yes, kids, I took a long weekend break in June too :) - I appear in precisely the same position in most photos... cheers mum, nice one!)
