I do want to blog more...

...I do, but...

Lana

...something's often in the way...

Whilst on the subject, a few weeks ago Ferdie discovered a little something (don't ask me what he was doing, inspecting her so closely... I don't want to know) that had escaped us all (especially the man who had given us Lana and who had sworn to us that she was a girl... you can see where this is going, can't you?) and that's the little missy has a wee something extra where something extra should most definitely NOT be... yes, I got me a she-male kitten!!! Well, in actual fact she's 100% of the male kind, but I, of course, continue to live in denial, and, as far as I'm concerned, she is and will remain a girl and once (s)he's had her snip (I am all against it in principle, in more concrete terms, it's something that can't be avoided if I want to keep her, so please no hate mail, I feel guilty as it is), it'll be even more true... (too many brackets in this paragraph, I realise, but it's almost dinner time, and my sugar is low, so that's the best I can do on an empty stomach - profuse apologies for the contorted reading).

A couple of weekends ago (or was it last weekend? I'm going to go off on a tangent here very briefly and say that I'm rather resentful at how quickly time seems to be flying by of late... just to give you an example, I had been saying I wanted to dye my hair - nothing drastic - just a nice hazelnutty chocolate - as my last colour has all faded away, and today I realised that "my last colour" was put in almost a year ago!!! No wonder I'm all mousy! Weekend in, weekend out, I've been putting this dyeing business off for a good 11 months!!!!) I went to Covent Garden for a touristy Sunday out with my friend Ste and stumbled upon the most engaging drawing event, which I would have loved to have known about before, the Big Draw. I had other things planned for the day, so I just hung around, peeked at some of the work and took a few pictures:

Big Draw

It wasn't until I got home and looked at the shots, that I noticed David Baddiel in the crowd. Can't see him in the picture above? Well, neither could I at a first glance, but he was in my photograph all along, I just needed to zoom in! Look:

David Baddiel
(I feel I ought to know the blond woman to his right too... but I don't, so shoot me!)

Ferdie and Ste are bugging me right now - gotta go for dinner, will finish later - big kisses! xx

I'm in love!

Blik I have just come across this stunning decal from Blik... I can't get over how beautiful it is. It's exquisite.

I
want
it.

NOW

I'm racking my brain to find a place to stick it to in my flat... I need a flat (read: NOT bumpy) wall, clear of frames and shelves... I so need it!

Some knitting at last :)

I have soooo much to photograph and show you my dear readers... loads... LOADS... really. But I'm lazy, the weather's crap, and I'm not a lover of indoor shots. For now therefore, let's start with some doggy knits:

Forza Roma doggy sweater Forza Roma doggy sweater

This is a cute little sweater for Briciola (that's the Italian for Crumb), my friend's dog who is sweet and loveable, and all that, but makes for a crappy model... I must have taken 37 pictures of her, but didn't manage to get one decent shot! They say never work with kids and animals... now I know why :)

Lettuce Pixie hat Lettuce Pixie hat

Pixie hat, knitted several months ago for Ste in HandPaintedYarn thin and thick yarn, a matching set of mittens is also in the pipeline, but don't hold your breath mate!

Ah, I'm so excited to be on Ravelry as of today!!! (apparently they sent me an invite on 26th August, but it seems my email spam filter was being a little too cautious and junked it without so much as a bell!) Look me up, I'm annarella, although I'm still trying to find my way around it, so there's virtually nothing of interest in my profile yet.

Famileeee

I feel a bit of randomness creeping up today, you don't mind, do you?... I was sorting some photograph folders earlier and came across this... I don't believe I've shown you my latest tattoo yet, have I? Well, I say latest, I actually had it done almost a year ago - doesn't time fly??!?
