Look! An FO!

Hey kids, at long last, a few pictures of something I knitted earlier... It's a teeny tiny vest for another little Anna (that's what they call me at work, you see...), due to make her appearance into this world any day now, the daughter of a friend of a friend, for whom I've already knitted a couple of hats or three... (the strawberry one being my favourite!)

I'm not quite sure just what size that's come out as...it was meant to be for a newborn... but looking at babies' clothes in the shops it looks more like 6 months... Gosh, I haven't a clue, I can't tell just how small babies are supposed to look... Anyway, hopefully she'll be able to wear it this winter/spring, with a white T and trendy jeans (or at least, that's how I'd dress her ;-) )...

Ingredients: just under 100% of buttery Knitpicks Sierra in Rose and a few yards of Ornaghi Filati Liola', for the trimmings, which is a yarn I bought in Italy a couple of years ago, so brightly coloured just fab for a happy lil baby. Like it?

One more reason to keep me from blogging...

Everybody, please meet Lana (that's the Italian for wool, not Clarke Kent's love interest as it was suggested). So, what do you think, isn't she an absolute beauty? Yes, well, I'm a bit partial, but isn't she just the most adorable little kitten, so fluffy and cuddly... I can't believe I've finally got a cat, kids!!!

We went and collected her some 4 weeks ago, picking her out of a litter of 6 tiny little fur balls, all looking pretty much alike, all quite shy. Ste and I both pointed at her and said "we want her", after seeing that the first thing she did once out of the pet carrier was to go and hide under the cover, bless her, she just acted so shy and scared, we just HAD to go for the runt of the litter. Well, she must have been having an off day, because you can say anything about her, but shy, the little missy, is not! It took her less than 24 hours to get accustomed to her new home, and from that moment onwards, she's been walking all over us (literally - have the scratches to prove it - and metaphorically!), fearless and happy - I hope!

She's also the reason why I am currently neglecting AngelKnits (hey Nikki and co.!) on Tuesday nights, I just can't bear the thought of leaving her at home till late... am I pathetic or what?! ;)

In knitting news, I have been knitting a fair bit lately, having completed: (drum roll, please) two adult hats, one baby hat, a dog sweater (yep!), a baby vest, a beret (from Ruth's pattern - details in a future post), and something else which now escapes me. Pictures will follow shortly, promise! And how are you all doing peeps? Much love xx
