Spring

Mother, I did say I would post some pictures of my balcony and true to my word (yes, you're allowed to look surprised though, so rarely do I keep my promises...), here's a peak. More here. They're not brilliant, as I took them this evening when the sun had already set, so the flash's playing silly tricks and washing out the colours. Will try and take some more tomorrow if the weather's nice, but till then, here's your teaser. I'll post the others in the same set on Flickr, so keep checking.

It's been so long...

...I had to look up the password to access my blog admin (but that may have something to do with my having aged since we last spoke... oh dear...!)

This is a super-quick post (I regret to say it's all about speed these days... I so long for some peace and quiet and reading and knitting time... but I digress...) to make a mental note of something I MUST buy for my balcony from Ikea, to better display my small pots collection. (Mother, if you're reading, I owe you some pics of our new palm and pretty daisies... all in good time, all in good time).

Stained in dark brown and oiled for outdoor use should do the trick, yes?
