What gorgeousness! Just give the Kureyon scarf a very quick wash in something gentle (I use Ecover) and it will blossom into luscious softness: promise. (My husband wouldn't have scarves made out of anything else, until we discovered Silk Garden.

Love the Noro one... apparently it does soften up after a wash.
And I've posted about that blog challenge... daft as it may be ;)

Love that Kureyon scarf - oh those colours.......
And can imagine how soft the Jaeger cable scarf feels too. Not as soft as a rabbit though ;)
The Kureyon will soften considerably after washing though I don't wear it next to my skin so let us all know how it goes.

Nice trio of scarves. I bet your friend's going to love the pink crocheted one. I can just imagine the wonderful squishiness of the black IHS in the Jaeger Shetland Aran and, as for the MD scarf - the colours look gorgeous - I really like how the Noro yarns knit up for the MD projects but shame that a lot of it is not very soft - I've also heard that it gets softer as you wash it though.

Your scarves are beautiful! I hope that your friend really enjoys her scarf, beautiful colour and crochet there... As for Mr Show Off his scarf is lovely too and I am sure it will keep him VERY warm! :) The noro scarf is lovely colours and knitting, though I am sure I heard somewhere the more you wash it the softer its meant to get? Who knows! Hey, wheres the pictures of your orange sweaters? :)

Love the scarves, particularly the IHS (great pattern for a bloke's scarf!).
Kureyon does soften up somewhat when washed, although even then it might still be a bit scratchy to wear around the neck. I made a scarf with it earlier this year but next tiem I'd use Silk Garden or similar :-)

Love the photos - I find it almost impossible to be creative when photographing long, flat rectangles! Try washing the Noro Kureyon in baby shampoo.
