Yep, I have been there!
I had a pretty little female cat and I called her Moonbeam.
Then a few weeks later, Steve found something dangling and shouted "That's not a girl...it has got bollox!"
Ever after, our male cat ended up being called Furry Bollox, which was embarassing when we lost him in a park at the back of our flat. We went aorund screaming "Bollox, Little Furry Bollox where are you?"
He also answered to the name Stinky or Meeeemooo (squeak in a high pitched voice) Dumbo, Biggly, Biggles, Boggles.....
What is in a name? They know they are boys, don;t care what you think.
On your other post, the lady is Morwenna Banks a comedian who is maried to David Badiel and I beleive they have a daughter called Daisy

not to worry about the kitty. the same thing happened to me. i was told one was a boy, the other a girl, which i named tuesday. it wasn't until i took them to the vet a few weeks later that the vet said that tuesday had a boy part not a girl part. as well the cost of the operation should be far less for a boy cat than a girl cat. btw we still call him Tuesday and princess and poof etc....
