Yes, by all means make it as a scarf!! I think there were some instructions on Knitty as well as to how to knit it smaller, but it was such a long time ago, I can't honestly remember. Would love to see how yours turns out!

I love the idea of making the clapotis smaller. I've always looked at the pattern and wondered if i'd wear somethine like that...but your adapted version I would definetely wear. Would you mind if used your adaptations?
