Ever stopped to count how many hundreds, if not thousands, of disposable face pads we will discard in our lifetime? Now, multiply that by millions of people around the globe. It is estimated that over 7 billion make-up wipes are thrown out every year, making this one of the most wasteful products in the world. That’s an astonishing quantity to end up in landfills, where they fail to fully decompose, or flow into the ocean, often harming sea life!
But there is something we can do.

How do I use my face scrubbies?
Wet your face scrubby to minimise staining, then simply apply the make-up remover of your choice directly to the scrubby and gently wipe it over your face and remove the make-up. My preferred product to remove make-up is micellar water.
There are more ways you can use your face scrubbies other than wiping off your make-up. You can incorporate these in your skincare regimen in the following ways:
Exfoliating
If you don’t like exfoliating your skin with bare hands, you can use your face scrubbies for exfoliation, by applying face scrub, and gently rubbing the scrubby over your face as they possess great exfoliation abilities.
Cleansing
When you need a no-rinse face cleanse while travelling or at the gym, your face scrubbies are a great way to apply no-rinse cleansers. Just soak your scrubby in water and wipe it over your face to cleanse the skin.
Applying toner
You can also put your face scrubbies to good use to apply toner. Dab your face scrubby in toner, and use it to apply the toner on your skin.
Can I use my face scrubbies to remove nail polish?
I do not recommend using your face scrubbies to remove nail polish. Generally, anything which stains fabrics, will stain your scrubbies.
How do I clean my face scrubbies?
Just rinse your face scrubbies under warm water and hand wash, or pop in a net laundry bag and machine wash at 40˚C, then re-shape, dry flat and re-use, re-use, re-use!

Please note: due to the handmade nature of this product and the cotton yarn used, there may be slight variations from the pictures shown, in colour, size and weave. As with most cotton items, some shrinking may occur after washing. If this happens, stretch whilst wet and lay flat to dry. I highly recommend that you pre-wash your item before use, especially the bright colours. Like most new cotton items, the dyes can bleed their colour during the first uses.
How long will my face scrubbies last?
If washed and cared for correctly, your face scrubbies should last you years.
